No. 4/3 Track and Field Host Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 4/3 Texas track and field program are set to host the Longhorn Invitational on Saturday, March 5 to open its outdoor season.
Mike A. Myers Stadium will host the Longhorns, TCU, Baylor, Kansas, professionals and the likes of many others for the 8-hour event.
Both the men's javelin and women's hammer throw will begin Saturday's competition with Jack Garey making his Texas debut and Kiana Lowery making her hammer collegiate debut at 10 a.m.
Sam Hurley, Phillip Frank, Reid Foster, Demetri Whitsett, Connor Boenig and Warren Miller will follow in the men's pole vault competition at 10:30.
The running events will open with the women's 100m hurdles at 2:50 p.m. and will run through 5 p.m., before the 4x400 relays will begin. The evening running events will feature the women's 3000m, both men's and women's 800m and 1500m and will conclude with the women's 3000m.
