Kickoff times set for three Football home games

Austin – Kickoff times and television selections for the 2022 home games versus ULM, Alabama and UTSA were released on Thursday, along with television selections for games against Oklahoma and Baylor.

The season and home opener against ULM on Saturday, Sept. 3, will air on Longhorn Network at 7 p.m. CT, while LHN will also air the home game versus UTSA on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. CT. In between those, Alabama comes to Austin on Saturday, Sept. 10, with that game kicking off at 11 a.m. CT on FOX.

Two other games had their television selections announced with the first being the AT&T Red River Showdown against Oklahoma in Dallas, which will be on ABC with the kickoff time decided on a 12-day selection. The second is the regular season finale during Thanksgiving weekend against Baylor in Austin, which will now be on Friday, Nov. 25, on ABC or ESPN with the time decided on either a 12 or six-day selection.

This will be the second all-time meeting between Texas and ULM with the other coming in 2009, a 59-20 win for the Longhorns in Austin. The match-up with Alabama will be the 10th all-time with Texas holding a 7-1-1 advantage in the series. The last meeting came in the 2010 National Championship Game following the 2009 season, which the Crimson Tide won, 37-21. The previous five contests also came in bowl games making this the first visit to Austin for Alabama since 1922, a game won by Texas, 19-10. The teams also played in Austin in 1915, which was a 20-0 win for the Longhorns. This will be the first-ever game between Texas and UTSA with the Roadrunners' inaugural season of football coming in 2011.
