41 Track and Field Members Named to Academic All-Big 12 Team

AUSTIN, Texas – 41 members of the Texas track and field team garnered 2022 Academic All-Big 12 honors on Tuesday afternoon.

The No. 1 women's team boasted 22 total members, highlighted by Alyssa Duhart's 4.0 GPA. 19 women earned First Team honors, while three were added to the second team.

On the No. 1 men's team, 15 boasted First Team accolades and four were named to the Second Team.

A total of 347 student-athletes were named to the Track and Field Academic team. Duhart was one of 37 women in the conference to boast a 4.0 GPA.

First team members have maintained a 3.20 GPA or higher, while the second team honorees hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
