No. 25 Women’s Basketball falls at Texas Tech, 68-64

LUBBOCK, Texas — Sonya Morris scored 17 points and Rori Harmon added 12 points, nine assists and six rebounds, but the No. 25 Texas women's basketball team was defeated, 68-64 against Texas Tech on Wednesday.
Shaylee Gonzales scored in double-figures with 10 points and added five rebounds. Texas tallied six blocked shots, three from Taylor Jones. The Longhorns pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Texas (13-6, 4-2) trailed by as many as eight in the fourth quarter, but came within one at 63-62 on a DeYona Gaston layup with 1:21 to play.
Texas Tech (15-4, 3-3) knocked down a pair of free-throws and held on for the 68-64 victory.
Up next the Longhorns will travel to Baylor for a game on Jan. 22 at 4:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
