BOSTON, Mass. – For the second day in a row, a Longhorn took down the 800m program record on the Boston University track. Valery Tobias of the No. 1 women's track and field team just so happened to beat her own record.
Tobias got the day rolling as the top collegiate-finisher in the 800m, finishing with the fifth-fastest time at 2:02.25. Freshman Katarzyna Kwiatkowski also set a six-second personal best to close out the event.
Tobias joined Crayton Carrozza of the No. 13 men's track and field team by breaking the 800 program records on back-to-back days.
The two-time All-American wasn't done there, breaking into the All-Time top-10 performer list in the mile with her new personal-best time of 4:43.97. Kwiatkowski joined in the mile with a finish of 5:12.27.
