Bizimana of No. 8 Men's TF sets NCAA-leading 800m time

Four Longhorns break into Texas All-Time performer list.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Yusuf Bizimana of the No. 8 Texas men's track and field team made it two-straight weeks a Longhorn set the NCAA-leading 800m time with his win on Friday night.
The four-time All-American's altitude-converted time of 1:46.03 ranks as the fastest time in the country, outdoing his teammate Crayton Carrozza who set the previous lead in Boston at 1:46.26 last weekend.
Also on the track, Julien Alfred set a new personal-best in the women's 200m at 22.56, setting the new St. Lucia national record to finish second. Kennedy Simon finished just behind in third with a personal best of her own at 22.81 to jump to No. 7 on the All-Time performer list in Texas history.
Lanae-Tava Thomas added a fifth-place performance with her time of 23.03, while Kevona Davis closed out the top-10 performers for Texas with her season-best time of 23.22
On the men's side, Nolton Shelvin climbed to No. 4 on the All-Time performer list for Texas with his personal-best time of 20.84. Marcellus Moore finished just behind at 20.87.
Solomon Washington got the field events going with his third-place performance in long jump with his jump of 7.85m (25-9). The sophomore moved to No. 10 on the Texas All-Time Performer list.
Freshman Jeremiah Nubbe made it three-straight meets setting a new personal best in the weight throw. Nubbe's fourth-place throw of 21.09m (69-2.50) improved his No. 3 mark on the performer list for the third consecutive meet.
Trinity Tomlinson was the final Longhorn to break into the Texas All-Time list after she set a personal-best jump of 1.81m (5-11.25) in high jump. Friday's jump was the first time in her career she's cleared over 1.80m.
