No. 10/11 Women’s Basketball bests Oral Roberts 112-74 on kids day

AUSTIN, Texas — Playing in front of nearly 5,000 screaming kids for the annual 40 Acres Field Trip game the Texas women's basketball team carried that momentum to a 112-74 victory over Oral Roberts at Moody Center on Wednesday.
Taylor Jones tied the Texas program record for makes without a miss as she shot 11-of-11 from the field for 27 points and added 16 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
Rori Harmon tallied her 14th career double-digit assist game with 13 assists to go with 10 points, eight rebounds, five steals and two blocked shots.
The Longhorns (8-0) had five players score in double-figures on the day with Madison Booker pouring in 17, Shaylee Gonzales adding 16 and Amina Muhammad contributing 11.
Texas shot a blistering 48-of-78 from the field for 61.5 percent and limited Oral Roberts to less than 40 percent shooting.
Up next the Longhorns will host No. 11/12 UConn on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CT in the Jimmy V Classic at Moody Center.

• The Longhorns tallied 27 assists for game. It is the fourth game this season Texas has had 20 or more assists.
