• ALLEN NEARS 2,000 POINTS: Super senior F Timmy Allen enters Saturday's contest just one point shy of reaching the 2,000 career points plateau. He has posted 1,999 points in 143 career games (14.0 ppg).
• CARR LIGHTS IT UP: Graduate G Marcus Carr registered 29 points (10-21 FG, 3-8 threes, 6-7 FT) in 36 minutes during Monday's game at No. 9/8 Kansas. This was the fifth time in Big 12 play (11 games) that Carr has topped the 20-point mark and the fourth time this season that he has posted at least 27 points in a game. Carr leads the Longhorns in scoring (17.0 ppg), assists (95), steals (39) and minutes (32.4 mpg).
