Beach Volleyball plays inaugural matches in Hawaii

The Longhorns kicked off a new era on Friday playing the program’s first ever Beach Volleyball matches.
HONOLULU, Hawaii – Texas Beach Volleyball began a new era, playing the first matches in program history at the Heineken Queens Cup at Queen's beach on Friday.
Texas fell to No. 9 Hawaii in the first match, 5-0, and to Oregon in the second match, 5-0.
Against Oregon in the Longhorns' second match of the day, Bella Bergmark and Reilly Heinrich pushed their match to three sets with the first set win in program history. The pair won the first set 21-15 before dropping the second set 24-22 and eventually falling narrowly in the third, 15-12.
The Longhorns are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT) against Nebraska and 4:45 p.m. (CT) against No. 11 California
