Beach Volleyball’s Grimes, Wise named AVCA Junior Beach All-America First Team

Duo earns first Junior Beach All-America honors in program history.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Beach Volleyball freshmen Ella Grimes and LeAnn Wise were named to the AVCA Junior Beach All-America First Team, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Monday.
The honor marks the first Junior Beach All-America recognition in program history.
Grimes, who hails from Mason, Ohio, captured gold at the 2025 FIVB 18U Junior World Championships and earned first-place finishes at the 2026 AVP Junior National Championships and P1440 Spring Championships. She also placed second at the AVP Pro Contender Virginia, fifth at the AVP Pro Contender South Beach and second at the AVP Pro Texas Triple Crown.
Wise, a Stockdale, Texas, native, earned first place at the 2026 AAU U18 National Pairs Championships and third at the 2026 AVP Juniors National Championships. She also teamed with former Longhorn Katie Hashman in June to place third at the AVP Next Texas Spring Triple Crown Series Finale in the Women's Open Division.
