Rising country artist is joined by Lesly Reynaga prior to Texas Football vs. Kansas game; Y’all Out Boy to perform postgame
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Rising country artist Kaitlin Butts headlines an action-packed Longhorn City Limits lineup on September 30. The FREE gameday concert, located on the LBJ Lawn, will open at 11 a.m. with support from very special guest Lesly Reynaga prior to the Texas Football vs. Kansas game at 2:30 p.m. Immediately following the game, acclaimed pop-punk and emo cover band Y'all Out Boy will take the stage for a special postgame show.
Full of reflection, daydreaming contemplation, sharp wit, tough decision in the midst of dire situation, soy love, and beaming growth, What Else Can She Do finds Kaitlin Butts in full bloom. Behind her flowing locks of auburn hair, Oklahoma twang, and a wry gin, grows a devastating storyteller and an equally demanding, radiant voice. She followed up 2015's charming debut Same Hell, Different Devil with a diverse run of singles—the cosmic dancer "Marfa Lights,", the haunting ballad "White River," the sweet tranquility of "How Lucky Am I," and the enigmatic disco fever dream "White Dream (Remix)". What Else Can She Do delivers a collection of delicate, strong, and gallant characters and transformative storytellers. Butts heads to the Forty Acres fresh off the heels of a sold-out show at Gruene Hall. Earlier this year, she made her debut at the legendary Ryman Auditorium. Her rise to fame has seen her join several artists on the road including Turnpike Troubadors, Morgan Wade, and Flatland Cavalry.
Supporting Kaitlin Butts will be Latin pop trailblazer Lesly Reynaga. Reynaga's dazzling debut album Valerosa captures a unique, modern, mariachi-influenced pop sound that has made waves from the ACL Music Festival to Lollapalooza. From thrilling audiences across the country, the Mexican-born, Texas-based naturalized citizen is making a striking first impression as a "one-of-a-kind" artist, while earning the reputation of an artist with the potential to be a breakout star. National press gushed about Lesly's recent Lollapalooza performance, describing her set's "sultry charm," "unique sound" and "bright, mesmerizing, volcanic burst of passion." Her recent breakout single "A Lo Alto," a dance-romp anthem for immigrants, contributed to KUTX 98.9 FM celebrating her as Austin's Artist of the Month.
Y'all Out Boy, Austin's favorite pop-punk and emo cover band, will keep the party going postgame on the LBJ Lawn. The group, formed in 2018, recently celebrated their fifth anniversary with a sold-out show at Emo's. Known for their high energetic shows, fans can expect to hear fan-favorites from artists including Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, My Chemical Romance, The Killers, Taking Back Sunday, and many more!
"We are so excited to welcome Longhorn Nation back to the Forty Acres with a jam-packed day of live music at Longhorn City Limits on September 30," said Chris Del Conte, Vice President and Athletics Director. "With rising artists Kaitlin Butts and Lesly Reynaga gracing the stage pregame to a postgame pop-punk party with Y'all Out Boy, it's going to be an incredible day of live music on the LBJ Lawn."
Lesly Reynaga will kick things off at 11 a.m. with Kaitlin Butts hitting the stage at 12:30 p.m. Y'all Out Boy will close out the day approximately 10 minutes following the conclusion of the Texas-Kansas game.
