Women’s Tennis preview: ITA All-American Championships

Four Longhorns will take the court in both singles and doubles play at the tournament in Cary, N.C., from Sept. 30-Oct. 8.
Cary, N.C. – Four members of Texas Women's Tennis will be competing at the ITA Women's All-American Championships in Cary, N.C., from Sept. 30-Oct. 8.
The prequalifying rounds are set to start on Saturday, Sept. 30, and will include senior No. 99 Malaika Rapolu and sophomore Vivian Ovrootsky.
Qualifying play then begins Monday, Oct. 2, with graduate No. 18 Tanya Sasnouskaya and senior No. 74 Charlotte Chavatipon set to play, while Rapolu had been an alternate.
On the doubles side of the qualifying rounds, Chavatipon and Sasnouskaya will partner as one team, while Rapolu and Ovrootsky form the other.
The main draw will then take place from Oct. 5-Oct. 8 and will be broadcast by Cracked Racquets. Sasnouskaya is currently listed as an alternate for that draw.
