Hook ‘Em's Community Heroes – December 2023 - University of Texas Athletics

AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to December's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Men's Swimming and Diving, Ethan Doehler, and from Women's Swimming and Diving, Olivia McMurray.

Ethan has received valuable support throughout his faith journey and wants to help provide resources for others to be able to experience the same.

"Blessed with so many supportive and principled people throughout my faith journey, I am committed to being a witness to others."

Olivia's experience as an animal center volunteer has given her a purpose that she continues to accomplish in her life today.

"I fell in love with helping animals when my mom and I began volunteering at our local animal center in 2017. It is incredibly important for me to help animals find forever homes, all while ensuring they are cared for during their time at animal shelters. As an animal center volunteer, it brings me so much joy to help an animal in any way they may need, whether that be extensive help or simply spending quality time with them."

In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide support for faith outreach and animal care.
