No. 4 Women’s Golf completes round one of Nanea Invitational

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii — The No. 4 Texas Women's Golf team opened the first round of the Nanea Invitational on Monday in Hawaii and are in fourth place on the team leaderboard.
The Longhorns were one of four teams in the 11-team field to shoot under par for the first round of the tournament. Texas shot a team score of 2-under-par. Stanford leads the event at 13-under, followed by Arizona State at 11-under and San Jose State at 6-under.
Cindy Hsu made four birdies in her first eight holes and carded a 3-under 70 on the par-73 course. Teammate Lauren Kim matched her with a 3-under 70. Farah O'Keefe also shot under par with a 2-under 71.
The Lineup
Junior Cindy Hsu fired a 3-under 70 and is T6 on the individual leaderboard after the opening round of play. Hsu made five birdies on the day.
Sophomore Lauren Kim birdied three of her final six holes of the day and shot a 3-under 70 in her opening round and is T6 on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Farah O'Keefe birdied four holes as she carded a 2-under-par 71 in the first round of the tournament. O'Keefe is T12 on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Selina Liao made one birdie on her scorecard and shot a 6-over 79.
Junior Angela Heo made one birdies on her scorecard and carded a 10-over 83.
Freshman Alisa Inprasit playing as an individual made five birdies and carded a 3-over 76.
