No. 4 Women’s Golf moves up to second place at Nanea Invitational

Longhorns shoot 13-under-par team score in the second round of the tournament.
KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii — Lauren Kim holed out from 136 yards for eagle as the Longhorns shot 13-under-par as a team to move into second place after two rounds at the Nanea Invitational on Tuesday.
The Longhorns had the best round of the day by eight shots to help them move up two spots into second. Stanford leads the field at 18-under for the tournament and Texas is three shots back at 15-under. Arizona State and San Jose State are tied for third at 10-under.
Farah O'Keefe moved up 11 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for first place with her 6-under 67. O'Keefe has shot a combined 15-under par over her last three tournament rounds going back to her 7-under 64 in the final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate.
Kim carded a round of 4-under 69 and was 5-under par on holes 10-18. On the par-4, 372-yard 15th hole Kim had 136 yards on her second shot. She hit a 9-iron and watched the ball fade towards the pin. It landed three feet short and hopped into the hole for eagle.
Cindy Hsu matched her 3-under 70 from the first day for another 3-under 70 to climb to 6-under for the tournament.
The Lineup
Sophomore Farah O'Keefe made seven birdies on her card for a 6-under 67 and is 8-under for the tournament. O'Keefe is in a three-way tie for first on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Lauren Kim, ignited by her eagle on the 15th hole shot a 4-under 69 and is 7-under for the tournament and T4 on the individual leaderboard.
Junior Cindy Hsu made five birdies in the second round and shot a second straight day of 3-under 70. Hsu is 6-under for the tournament and T7 on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Selina Liao carded an even-par 73 for the Longhorns with four birdie on her scorecard.
Junior Angela Heo carded a 17-over 90 with a pair of birdies on her card.
Freshman Alisa Inprasit playing as an individual carded a round of 7-over 80 with one birdie on her card.
