AUSTIN, Texas — Freshman forward Nic Codie registered a career-high 20 points and graduate guard Julian Larry added a double-double with 11 points and career-high 13 assists to lead Texas (9-2) to a 121-57 victory against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-10) on Sunday afternoon in Moody Center. The 121 points marked the eighth-most points scored in UT program history and most since Texas recorded 122 against Sam Houston State in a 122-71 home win on Nov. 24, 2003, while the 64-point margin of victory marked the ninth largest in program history and most since a 72-point home win (110-38) over Prairie View A&M on Dec. 30, 2005.
Codie, playing in just his sixth collegiate contest, paced a total of eight Longhorns in double-figure scoring while converting 8-of-10 field goals, including 2-of-2 threes, and 2-of-2 free throws in a career-best 16 minutes. Junior Jordan Pope tallied a season-high 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-6 threes), four assists and career-high four steals in 21 minutes, and junior Chendall Weaver posted 14 points (6-10 FG) and eight rebounds in 21 minutes.
Graduate Kadin Shedrick tallied 14 points (6-7 FG) and three steals in 17 minutes, and senior Arthur Kaluma registered 13 points (5-8 FG) and six boards in 18 minutes. Larry posted 11 points (3-5 threes) and 13 assists against just two turnovers in 25 minutes. Graduate Tramon Mark recorded 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 27 minutes, and sophomore Devon Pryor added 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-3 threes), three assists and two steals in 21 minutes.

The 17 three-pointers made were one shy of tying the program record, as the Longhorns previously hit 18 threes in a home win against Kansas State on Jan. 12, 1997.
After a Quentin Bolton Jr. three-pointer tied the contest at 3-3 with 19:25 remaining, the Longhorns grabbed control of the game with a 10-0 spurt over the next three minutes to build a 13-3 cushion following a Shedrick layup at the 16:15 mark. A Klemen Vuga layup trimmed the deficit to 13-5 with 15:36 left, before Texas answered with a 14-0 run over the next three-and-a-half minutes to increase its advantage to 27-5 after a Shedrick layup at the 12:20 mark.
A Dante Sawyer three-point play cut the gap to 27-8 with 12:02 remaining. The Longhorns responded with a 27-6 run over the next eight minutes to build a 54-14 cushion following a Codie three-point play at the 4:31 mark. Texas converted 69.4-percent (25-36) from the floor, including a 58.8-percent mark (10-17) from three-point range, and took a 66-26 advantage into the break. The 66 points marked the fifth-most points scored in a first half by Texas in program history and the most since the Longhorns scored 67 against Sam Houston State on Nov. 24, 2003.
The Golden Lions opened the second half with a 7-0 run over the first 1:37 to trim the deficit to 66-33 after a Raphael Dumont layup at the 18:23 mark. The Longhorns answered with a 10-0 spurt over the next two minutes to take a 76-33 advantage following a Pope three-pointer with 16:30 remaining.
The margin increased to 50 points (89-39) after a Larry three-pointer at the 12:27 mark and grew to 60 points (106-46) following another Larry three-pointer with 6:06 remaining. UT led by as much as 65 points (113-48) after a Codie three-pointer at the 4:34 mark.
