The Longhorns set two pool records in the win over the Mustangs.
DALLAS – No. 2 Texas Women's Swimming & Diving dominated SMU, 153-118, at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center on Friday. The Longhorns established pool records 500 free and 200 free relay and won 13 events overall.
Erica Sullivan highlighted the Texas effort with a pool record in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 4:39.17 – a season-best time that ranks her 16th in the nation this season. Her mark topped the previous best of 4:39.71 set in 2019 by Emily Hetzer of Auburn.
Texas' other pool record came in the final event of the day, as the quartet of Kelly Pash, Ava Longi, Emma Sticklen and Sienna Schellenger combined for the top 200 free relay time of 1:27.48, over a second better than the previous record established by Louisville in 2018.
The Longhorns opened the competition by winning the 200 medley relay, as Emma Kern, Alicia Wilson, Sticklen and Pash combined for a time of 1:37.37.
Erin Gemmell followed with a victory in the 200 free, touching the wall in 1:44.43, then Sticklen won the 100 back in 52.13.
Channing Hanley won a pair of events, earning the victory in the 100 breast in 1:00.50, then won the 200 breast in 2:12.26.
Ava Longi added a victory in the 50 free with a time of 22.20, and Pash took the win in the 100 free with a swim of 49.81.
Sarah Carruthers earned the win on 3-meter, scoring 320.78 points, and Caroline Kupka captured the win on 1-meter with 310.35 points.
Kern picked up a win in the 100 fly, registering a swim of 54.00, and Wilson was the top finisher in the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.96.
Next up for Texas is the Big 12 Conference Championship, set for Feb. 27-Mar. 2 in Morgantown, W.Va.

- Amanda Stalfort placed third on 3-meter with 306.08 points.
- Lindsey Hosch placed third in the 100 fly, recorded a time of 55.42.
