No. 13 Women's TF wins 800m and 1500m at UTSA Invitational

Olivia Howell and Eva Jess claim first outdoor wins of the season.
SAN ANTONIO – The No. 13 Texas track and field distance program opened the outdoor season at the UTSA Invitational.
The Longhorns swept the top-three spots in the women's 800-meter run led by Olivia Howell who finished in 2:04.54. Junior Amity Ebarb finished second in 2:11.73, while freshman Mackenize Browne finished third in 2:11.99.
Junior Eva Jess later won the 1500-meter run in her first-ever collegiate 1500 with a time of 4:30.03. Sophomore Virginia Knight closed in eighth with her time of 4:44.86, junior Allyson Little was ninth in 4:46.34 and sophomore Elizabeth Pickett rounded out the top-10 with her time of 4:47.51. Haley Harper finished 13th with a time of 4:49.41.
Texas returns to action on March 26-30 for the 96th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays presented by Truist.
