"We are so excited to welcome Kyla and her family to the 40 Acres," Texas head coach Vic Schaefer said. "She's played two years in The ACC and started 21 games a year ago. She's got experience playing at this level. She brings much needed depth to our 5 position. Her size and physicality will go a long way in protecting the paint and helping us on both ends of the floor. We recruited her out of high school and we are happy to get her this time around."
Oldacre played in the Jordan Brand Classic alongside current Texas player Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda. She was invited to the 2022 U.S. U18 National Team Trials.
Oldacre earned MVP honors at the 2021 Nike Nationals with two 20-point games. She helped Mason High School to a state runner-up finish in 2022 and averaged 15.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game as a senior and earned First Team All-Ohio recognition.
Oldacre was named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team.
