Former diver Alison Gibson wins gold at American Cup

Gibson claims 3-meter title with 324.90 points.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Texas Ex Alison Gibson won the gold medal at the 2024 American Cup held at IUPUI's Natatorium in the women's 3-meter event.
Gibson scored 324.90 points to take home the gold medal, tallying 12.5 points more than her teammate Kristen Hayden in second-place. Gibson averaged 69.98 points per round to earn yet another medal in her career.
Jordan Skilken, recent Texas grad, finished just off the podium on the 10-meter platform event with her score of 292.70 points, and just 51.30 off from first. Graduate assistant diving Coach Manny Pollard was part of Team USA's staff.
Gibson and Skilken competed against Australia, Canada, Egypt, France, Great Britain, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Chinese Tapei and Uzbekistan at this weekend's competition.
Gibson will be joined by Hailey Hernandez and head coach Matt Scoggin at the French Open at the new Olympic Pool in Paris on May 8-10.
