AUSTIN, Texas – With the conclusion of the 2024 NCAA Division I Softball season having now arrived, below is a breakdown of the 22 records broken by The University of Texas' softball program in addition to the Longhorns' final rankings for the season, historic television ratings as well as accomplishments received since UT's final game on Thursday, June 6:

- Texas concluded the 2024 Division I softball season as the conscious number two team in the country, according to the final Top 25 polls released throughout the week:
- USA Today/NFCA: 2
- ESPN.com/USA Softball: 2

TELEVISION RATINGS
- The NCAA Women's College World Series Finals between Texas and Oklahoma drew two million viewers, marking the most-watched WCWS Finals on record.
- Game 1 of the WCWS Finals brought in 1.9 million viewers, becoming the most-watched Game 1 on record for the Championship Series.
- Game 3 of the NCAA Austin Super Regional between Texas and Texas A&M drew 776,000 viewers, marking the best Regional/Super Regional audience for a Division I softball game on ESPN2.
- The Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship game between Texas and Oklahoma had 563,000 viewers tuned into ESPN2, becoming the most-viewed Big 12 Championship Game on record on any ESPN platform.
REGIONAL COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR
- On Monday, June 10, The University of Texas' four-member softball coaching staff — Mike White (head coach), Steve Singleton (associate head coach), Kristen Zaleski (assistant coach) and Pattie Ruth Taylor (assistant coach) was selected as the 2024 ATEC/NFCA DI Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
- The honor is the first such for a Longhorn softball coaching staff since the 2006 team earned the NFCA Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year: Connie Clark (head coach), Corrie Hill (assistant coach) and Marla Looper (assistant coach).
- Ten different regions (Central, Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Northeast, Pacific, South, Southeast and West) with the NFCA landscape all had a coaching staff represented. Each region's top coaching staff, along with Oklahoma's as a result of winning the national championship, are eligible for the NFCA's Division I National Coaching Staff of the Year that will be announced on Thursday, June 20.
- The Longhorn program last won the Speedline/NFCA Coaching Staff of the Year in 2003: Connie Clark (head coach), Marla Looper (assistant coach) and Jill Matyuch (assistant coach).
