Women’s Golf’s Heo named Academic All-District honoree

Angela Heo is now a finalist for Academic All-America honors.
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas women's golf's Angela Heo has been named a member of the 2023-24 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance both athletically and academically.
A sophomore majoring in Sport Management, Heo competed for Texas in eight tournament during the 2023-24 season. She had a best finish of T14 at the Stanford Intercollegiate. Heo helped the Longhorns advance to their 32nd NCAA Championship with a T15 finish at the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional. As a freshman, Heo carded a round of 6-under 66 at the 2023 NCAA Championship to set the program record for low round at an NCAA Championship.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All- America ballot. Heo has been selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 16.
