Yvonne Anderson named to Serbian Olympic Women’s Basketball Team

Anderson will be making her second appearance in the Olympics after being on the team in Tokyo in 2021
AUSTIN, Texas — Former University of Texas women's basketball player Yvonne Anderson has been named to the 2024 Serbian Olympic Women's Basketball roster. Serbia will compete in the Paris Olympics starting July 28 in the group phase at Pierre Mauroy Stadium.
Anderson is the fifth UT women's basketball player to compete in the Olympics. Anderson played at Texas from 2008-12 and scored 1,042 points over 129 career games.
Anderson played in the WNBA for the Connecticut Sun in 2022 and has played extensively in the women's EuroLeague. This past season Anderson was the EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year. Her team Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding captured the EuroLeague Championship in the 2023-24 season to become the first Turkish team to win back-to-back EuroLeague titles.
