The Longhorns fell in three singles matches on Friday but return to play in both singles and doubles on Saturday.
Waco – Texas Men's Tennis completed day one of the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic on Friday, falling in three singles matches. The Longhorns will return to play in both singles and doubles on Saturday.
Longhorn freshmen Rahul Sachdev, Calvin Wang and Evan Burnett all competed in the East stages of their respective singles draws. Sachdev was downed, 6-1, 6-3, by Marko Miladinovic of Baylor in the Gold Draw, Wang was defeated, 7-6 (1), 6-2, by Miguel Alonso of UTSA in the Silver Draw, and Burnett was topped, 6-3, 6-2, by Reiya Komagata of Tulsa in the White Draw.
On Saturday, each player will move to their West stages with Sachdev playing Alex Okonkwo of Tulsa at 10 a.m. CT, Wang facing Brody Nejedly of Texas Tech at 11:30 a.m. CT, and Burnett taking on Oskar Grzegorzewski of UTSA at that same time.
Prior to that, Sachdev and Wang will play doubles against Grzegorzewski and Danijal Muminovic of UTSA at 9 a.m. CT.
With the tournament being played off campus from Baylor there will be no live stats or video, but all tournament information and results can be found on the tournament hub page.
