No. 5/6 Women’s Basketball falls at No. 2/2 South Carolina, 67-50

Kyla Oldacre leads Texas with 11 points and career-high 16 rebounds.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Kyla Oldacre registered a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds, but the No. 5/6 Texas women's basketball team fell on the road at No. 2/2 South Carolina on Sunday.
Rori Harmon tallied nine points and two assists for Texas. Freshmen Justice Carlton and Bryanna Preston recorded eight and seven points respectively.
After allowing 18 and 21 points to South Carolina in the first and second quarters, the Texas defense limited the Gamecocks to 14 points in each of the third and fourth quarters.
The Texas defense forced 22 South Carolina turnovers and held the Gamecocks 15 points below their season scoring average.
Up next, the Longhorns travel to Auburn to take on the Tigers, on Thursday Feb. 16 with a 6:00 p.m. CT tip.
