A native of Florida and a top prep player in the country, Jeremiah Braswell will join the Longhorns’ roster in the spring.
Austin – University of Texas Men's Tennis has signed prep standout Jeremiah Braswell to an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA), head coach Bruce Berque announced Wednesday. Braswell will enroll and join the program this January.
"We're all super excited that Jeremiah will be joining our team this upcoming semester," Berque said. "I have every confidence that he will be a fantastic addition to the team, a great teammate, and that he will make the best use of his redshirt semester. He definitely has it within him to become an impact player at Texas, and we're looking forward to helping him along his journey toward that goal."
Braswell continues his family ties to Texas Tennis as the brother of former UT All-American Micah Braswell and current Longhorn senior Jonah Braswell.
"I chose Texas because it just feels like the place for me," Braswell said. "The coaches really believe in developing players the right way, and I know I'll be pushed to get better every day. The culture and energy around the program are special, and I can't wait to continue the legacy that my brothers have started."
A native of Sarasota, Fla., Jeremiah Braswell trained for the last four years at IMG Academy. He has been a five-star prospect and rated as high as No. 22 in his class by TennisRecruiting.net.
Braswell was the Bronze Ball winner at the 2023-24 Level 1 USTA National Winter Championships and was a quarterfinalist at the 2023 Level 2 Eddie Herr International Championships. He twice reached the quarterfinals of J100 tournaments in 2024 including Plantation and Coral Gables.
