Harris wins men’s 3-meter title at Texas Diving Invitational

Texas rounds out day two with three finalists on 3-meter.
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas senior Nick Harris claimed the men's 3-meter title on Friday to lead the Longhorns on the second day of the Texas Diving Invitational at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
Harris posted a winning six-round score of 403.75, delivering a sharp and high-difficulty list from start to finish. He opened with a 66.65 on his forward 3½ somersault pike (107B) and added a 63.00 on his reverse 3½ somersault tuck (307C) to keep himself among the leaders.
His strongest dives came in the back half of the rotation. Harris earned 71.40 on his inward 3½ somersault tuck (407C) before closing with a meet-best 77.90 on his forward 4½ somersault tuck (109C) to secure the victory.
Sophomores Luke Forester finished ninth with a score of 358.80, and Jacob Jones placed 11th at 330.45 for Texas.
The Texas Diving Invitational concludes Saturday with platform competition beginning at 1:00 p.m.
