No. 1 Men’s Swim and Dive concludes regular season at Sterkel Classic

The Longhorns finished the regular season at home against Rice, SMU and TCU at the Sterkel Classic.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Texas Men's Swim and Dive wrapped up the regular season at the Sterkel Classic inside the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center Saturday.
The Longhorns competed against Rice, SMU and TCU in a swim-only meet.
Meet Notes
- In the 200 free, Luke Stibrich placed second after clocking in at a career-best 1:36.25.
- Spencer Aurnou-Rhees won the 200 fly in a career-best 1:45.57.
- UT claimed the top two spots in the 1650 free, after Manning Haskal won in a personal-best 15:02.17 and Landon D'Ariano finished runner-up in a season-best 15:20.63. D'Ariano also met the NCAA 'B' cut standard in the event.
- In the 200 back, Logan Walker finished fourth with a time of 1:44.88.
- Luke Stibrich finished fifth in the 100 fly in a season-best 47.98.
- Spencer Aurnou-Rhees won the 200 IM, clocking in at a personal-best 1:43.77. Camden Taylor finished in second place in a personal-best 1:44.47. Taylor met the NCAA 'B' cut in the event.
Up next, Texas travels to Athens, Ga., on Feb. 18-22 for the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships hosted at the University of Georgia.
