Women’s Basketball’s Booker and Harmon selected to Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year Midseason Team

AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas women's basketball sophomore Madison Booker and senior Rori Harmon have been selected to the 2025 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Midseason Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club/Naismith Awards announced on Wednesday.
For the season Booker is averaging 16.5 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game in 29.7 minutes per game. She has tallied 72 assists, 37 steals and 15 blocked shots. Booker averaged 20 points per game this past the week in helping Texas to victories over No. 24 Vanderbilt and No. 2 South Carolina.
Booker has scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season and has reached double-figures in 20 games this season and the last eight in a row. Over the Longhorns current eight game winning streak, Booker is averaging 20.1 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. Booker is shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from 3-point range over that stretch.
Harmon ranks in the top-10 in the country this season in assist to turnover ratio, total assists and assists per game. Harmon moved into second on the Longhorns all-time career assist list and now has 662 assists for her career.
Harmon reached 1,000 career points this season to become just the second player in program history to reach 1,000 points and 600 assists. Harmon is 20 points away from becoming the only player in Texas women's basketball history to reach 1,200 points and 600 assists.
The Longhorns are back in action on Thursday at No. 8 Kentucky with a tip time of 6:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
