No. 2 Women’s Swim and Dive’s Hernandez places third in 1-meter at SEC Championships

The senior finished in third place in the 1-meter dive at the SEC Championships on Monday.
ATHENS, Ga. – Highlighted by senior Hailey Hernandez's third-place finish in the 1-meter at the 2025 SEC Championships, four Longhorns recorded top-eight finishes in Monday night's A Final at Gabrielsen Natatorium.
Hernandez posted a final score of 316.20 to earn a spot on the podium. Texas also took the next two spots in the event with sophomore Caroline Kupka finishing in fourth with a final score of 297.00 and freshman Alejandra Estudillo Torres claiming fifth with a final score of 289.70. Sophomore Bayleigh Cranford finished seventh with a final score of 278.40. The Horns' four finalists in the A Final were the most by an SEC program this year.
Following Monday morning's prelims, freshman Taylor Fox earned a spot in the B Final. In the B Final, Fox finished second and 10th overall drawing a final score of 284.85.

Day two of the 2025 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships includes time trials at 9 a.m. CT, followed by prelims of the men's 3-meter springboard and the B Final of the same event. Starting at 4 p.m. will be the 200 medley relay, the men's 3-meter A Final and the 800 free relay. All sessions can be streamed on SEC Network+.
