No. 5 Women’s Golf climbs to third following round two of Therese Hession Regional Challenge

Texas moves up six spots during the tournament's second round on Monday.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, California — The No. 5 Texas women's golf team shot the second best round of the day on Monday to move up six spots going into the final round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge.
The Longhorns closed strong with 11 birdies combined over their final nine holes of the second round. Texas carded a 4-under team score at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. Three of their four counting scores shot under par for the round.
Southern California continues to lead the field at 9-under and Florida is second at 4-under. The Longhorns hold down the third spot on the team leaderboard at 3-over-par.
Farah O'Keefe, a selection to the final fall watch list for the ANNIKA Award birdies each of her last four holes and five of her last six to shoot 3-under 68. O'Keefe is now 1-under for the tournament and eighth place on the individual leaderboard.
Cindy Hsu carded a 2-under 69 and Tiffany Cao continued her strong play with a 1-under 70. Hsu moved up 34 spots on the leaderboard and Cao remained in the top-10 at T8 on the leaderboard. Lauren Kim rounded out the scoring for Texas with a score of 2-over 73 on the day.
The Longhorns will close out the final round of the tournament tomorrow. The top four teams will be paired together with Texas playing with Southern California, Florida and South Carolina. They will tee off starting at 10:15 a.m. CT.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe moved up 18 spots on the leaderboard to T8 with her 3-under 68 on Monday. O'Keefe birdies five of her last six holes of her round.
Cindy Hsu made four birdies on her way to a 2-under 69. Hsu moved up 35 spots to T25 on the player leaderboard.
Tiffany Cao after posting an even-par in round one carded a 1-under 70 in the second round. Cao birdies two holes and is T8 on the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Kim made a pair of birdies on holes 14 and 18 and carded a 2-over 73 for her second round. Kim is 31st on the leaderboard.
Bohyun Park made eagle on the par-5, 7th hole. Park finished the round with an 8-over 79.
