No. 1 Men’s Diving trio qualifies for NCAA Championships in the 1-meter

Nick Harris, Jacob Jones and Jacob Welsh qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 1-meter Monday.
IOWA CITY, Iowa – No. 1 Texas Men's Diving saw three student-athletes qualify for the 2025 NCAA Championships in the 1-meter Monday afternoon at the CRWC Natatorium, highlighted by junior Nick Harris' runner-up finish in the finals.
Texas, who advanced six men's divers, had the most student-athletes competing in the Zone D 1-meter final. Harris paced the Longhorn effort with a runner-up finish after recording a final score of 743.40. The freshmen duo of Jacob Jones (5th-695.65) and Jacob Welsh (9th-663.45) joined Harris in qualifying after finishing inside the top-nine benchmark for qualification. In addition, freshman Luke Forester placed 10th with a final score of 644.50, just outside the benchmark for qualification, but could still enter the event at the NCAA Championships if he qualifies for either the 3-meter and/or platform. Sophomore Pierce Brooke registered a final score of 595.45 to finish 15th and senior Manuel Borowski tallied a final score of 553.20 to place 17th, respectively.
The NCAA Zone D Diving Championships continue at Noon CT Tuesday with the men's 3-meter prelims. The 3-meter finals are slated to begin 2 p.m.
