Schedule update for No. 2/2 Softball’s SEC opening series at Florida

Texas and Florida now set to play a Saturday doubleheader and wrap up series on Monday night.
AUSTIN, Texas – Due to potential inclement weather in and around the Gainesville, Fla., area on Sunday, Mar. 16, The University of Texas and University of Florida have re-arranged this weekend's three-game Southeastern Conference (SEC) softball series.
The two softball programs were originally slated to play one game over the Saturday-Sunday-Monday span, but will now play two games on Saturday, Mar. 15 followed by a series-concluding contest on Monday, Mar. 17.
This weekend's series marks the first time Texas has played a softball game against Florida in Gainesville, Fla., since the 2007 season, when the Gators won, 3-0, in nine innings. The Longhorns have won the last two straight meetings against the Gators by a combined 13-0 score in 12 innings of softball.

- No. 2/2 Texas at No. 3/3 Florida, 1:00 p.m. CT / 2:00 p.m. ET, SEC Network
- No. 2/2 Texas at No. 3/3 Florida, 45 minutes at the conclusion of Game 1, SEC Network+
- Monday, Mar. 17
- No. 2/2 Texas at No. 3/3 Florida, 6:00 p.m. CT / 7:00 p.m. ET, SEC Network
