The top-ranked Longhorns are slated to compete at the 2025 NCAA Championships on March 26-29 in Federal Way, Wash.
AUSTIN, Texas – Top-ranked Texas Men's Swimming and Diving hits the road to Federal Way, Wash., on March 26-29 for the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.
ESPN+ will provide digital coverage for the championship week for the morning prelims and evening finals sessions on Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the men's championships will be on ESPNU at 6 p.m. CT Monday, March 31.

In the Diving Well
Four Texas divers will compete at the national meet this week: Nick Harris, Jacob Jones, Jacob Welsh and Manuel Borowski. Nick Harris will compete in the 1 and 3-meter dives, Manuel Borowski will compete in the 3-meter and freshmen duo Jacob Jones and Jacob Welsh will compete in all three dives. At the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on March 10-12, Harris finished runner-up in the 1-meter and third in the 3-meter. Borowski, a senior from Southlake Texas, qualified for the 3-meter after accumulating 701.95 points to finish ninth at zones. Jones placed fifth in the 1-meter, ninth on the platform and 11th in the 3-meter. Welsh finished eighth on the platform, ninth in the 1-meter and 10th in the 3-meter.
SEC Championship Meet Honors
Helping Texas capture the 2025 SEC Championship, sophomore Rex Maurer garnered the SEC Commissioner's Cup Trophy after recording the highest point total with 91 points throughout the meet.
Longhorns on Top
The Longhorns are ranked first in the final College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Division I poll that was released on March 6. The top-10 includes Texas (375), Indiana (351), California (350), Florida (327), Arizona State (322), Tennessee (292), NC State (277), Stanford (274), Georgia (263) and Michigan (243).
A Dynasty
Texas placed seventh at the 2024 NCAA Championships and has claimed 15 NCAA Championships, finished runner-up 13 times and has a total of 36 top-3 finishes at the national meet. UT earned NCAA team titles in 1981, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021. Texas has 44-consecutive top-10 finishes at NCAAs. The Horns are looking for their first NCAA crown since the 2021 season and their sixth since 2015. In addition, Texas has notched nine national championships since 2000.
Bowman Brings Championship Experience
Last season, head coach Bob Bowman led the Arizona State Sun Devils to the national title for the first time in program history. Arizona State posted a dominant 79-point victory (523.5-444.5) over runner-up California at the national meet.
Conference Dominance
In their first year as a member of the Southeastern Conference, the Longhorns won the 2025 SEC Championship after totaling 1,474.5 points, 149.5 points ahead of second-place Florida (1,325). Texas has won 46-straight conference titles across three leagues, dating back to the 1980 Southwest Conference championship. In his first year on the Forty Acres, head coach Bob Bowman takes home the conference crown. The Longhorns have won 67 total conference crowns (38 Southwest Conference, 28 Big 12 Conference, 1 SEC). Texas snapped Florida's 12-year SEC title streak that was held from 2013-24. Texas combined for 21 medals and four gold medals (500 freestyle – Maurer, 400 IM – Maurer, 200 freestyle- Hobson and 1,650 freestyle-Johnston).
