Women’s Basketball signs Ashton Judd

AUSTIN, Texas — Ashton Judd has signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) to play basketball next season at The University of Texas, head coach Vic Schaefer announced on Monday.
Judd, a 6-1 guard/forward from West Plains, Mo., has spent the last three seasons at Missouri.
In the 2024-25 season Judd averaged 11.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while playing in 32 games and starting in 28 games.
"I'm excited to welcome Ashton Judd and her family to our Texas women's basketball program," Texas head coach Vic Schaefer said. "She comes to us from a Missouri team that is known for its competitive toughness. Ashton will play multiple positions for us because she has a unique and dynamic skillset. Her ability to score at all three levels: finish with contact, stretch the floor and score off the bounce will make our team better immediately. Her character, toughness and competitive spirit make her a perfect fit. We know she will instantly mesh with her teammates both on and off the floor. Ashton comes from a wonderful family and Longhorn Nation will come to love watching her play this season."
Judd holds a career field goal percentage of 42.4 percent and 3-point percentage of 37.6 percent. She has scored 1,010 points in her career. In her sophomore seasons she played and started in 30 games and averaged 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Judd scored in double figures in 20 games in the 2024-25 season including 17 points with four 3-point field goals against LSU.
Judd earned SEC All-Freshman team honors in the 2022-23 season.
