Women’s Basketball’s Booker wins gold with USA Basketball

Madison Booker earns fourth gold medal with Team USA as they win the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup in Santiago, Chile.
SANTIAGO, Chile — Texas women's basketball All-American Madison Booker earned her fourth gold medal with USA Basketball as Team USA won gold in the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup with a 92-84 win over Brazil on Sunday.
Booker made her sixth start in seven games of the tournament and scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in the championship game.
In the win over Canada in the semifinals Booker scored 7 of Team USA's 14 points in the fourth quarter to help Team USA to a 65-53 win over Canada.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament Booker helped Team USA to victory over Dominican Republic with 13 points, six steals and three assists. Her six steals Booker tied Ruthie Bolton Lisa Leslie and Carla McGhee for the USA single game steals record.
Booker had a stellar sophomore season at Texas as she earned First Team All-America honors from the Associated Press and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. She was the SEC Player of the Year and for the second time earned the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Award
