Women’s Basketball opens Globl Jam with 85-45 victory over Puerto Rico

TORONTO – Four Texas players scored in double figures led by 18 points from Justice Carlton as the Texas women's basketball team picked up an 85-45 win over Puerto Rico in their first game of the Globl Jam on Wednesday.
Carlton shot 6-of-11 from the field and added seven rebounds. Kyla Oldacre notched a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ashton Judd connected on four 3-point field goals and tallied 15 points and Teya Sidberry recorded 10 points.
Postgame Notes
• Texas used a starting lineup of Kyla Oldacre, Justice Carlton, Jordan Lee, Madison Booker and Rori Harmon.
• Texas newcomers scored 14 of the teams 21 points in the first quarter and at one point scored 17 straight points for Texas.
