Women’s Basketball takes down Canada, 70-61 in Globl Jam

TORONTO – Madison Booker scored 18 points and dished out eight assists and freshman Aaliyah Crump added 13 points as Texas women's basketball picked up their second win of Globl Jam with a 70-61 win over Canada on Thursday.
Teya Sidberry had a complete game with 10 points and eight rebounds for the Longhorns.
In the second quarter Canada cut the Texas lead to one at 27-26, but the Longhorns answered with a 7-0 run and went up 34-26 on a jumper by Aaliyah Crump. Texas led 43-35 at the half.
Booker knocked down her third 3-pointer of the game in the third quarter to put Texas up 50-43. Carlton scored the final five points of the quarter for Texas as they took a 57-45 lead into the final period. Breya Cunningham and Teya Sidberry made baskets late in the fourth quarter for the Longhorns as they captured the 70-61 victory.
