AUSTIN, TEXAS – Texas Athletics is proud to welcome Texas Country legend Cory Morrow to Longhorn City Limits presented by Hollister on Saturday, September 6. Morrow will perform a postgame show following Texas Football's home opener against the San José State Spartans. Located on the LBJ Lawn, fan-favorite Y'all Out Boy will kick off Season Seven of LCL with a pregame show beginning at 8:30 a.m. Admission is FREE for Longhorn City Limits concerts all season long.
With a career spanning over two decades, Cory Morrow has carved out a revered place in the Texas music scene, known for his heartfelt lyrics, electrifying performances, and enduring fanbase. A pioneer of the Texas Country movement alongside artists like Pat Green and Robert Earl Keen, Morrow has sold over 200,000 albums independently and performed on some of the biggest stages in the country, including recording a taping for Austin City Limits in 2002.
Best known for iconic tracks like "Always and Forever", "Lonesome", and "Lead Me On", Morrow continues to evolve as an artist while staying true to his roots. His most recent studio album, Whiskey & Pride, blends the raw energy of his early work with a refined, introspective edge — offering standout singles like the title track "Whiskey & Pride" and fan-favorites such as "Breath" and "Restless." The album features collaborations with Texas music greats including Jamie Lin Wilson and production by steel guitar legend Lloyd Maines, further cementing Morrow's place among the state's most respected musicians.
Prior to the Texas-San José State game, hometown favorites Y'all Out Boy (YAB) will take the stage at 8:30 a.m. Formed in Austin, the pop punk and emo cover band recently celebrated their seventh anniversary with a sold-out show at Radio East Austin. YAB has become a beloved staple in the Austin music scene, known for their high-energy performances and faithful renditions of classic songs from iconic bands including Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, the Killers, Bowling For Soup, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, and more! With a dynamic stage presence and a repertoire that gets crowds singing along, they promise an unforgettable show featuring chart-topping hits.
