Women’s Tennis’ Ngijol-Carré concludes play at ITA All-American Championships

Freshman Mathilde Ngijol-Carré played her two first collegiate singles matches, but fell in prequalifying play.
Cary, N.C. – Texas Women's Tennis freshman Mathilde Ngijol-Carré played her two first collegiate singles matches, but fell in prequalifying play at the ITA Women's All-American Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Cary, N.C.
Ngijol-Carré was downed in the first round of prequalifying by Maralgoo Chogsomjav of Kansas State, 6-4, 6-1 on Saturday. She then moved to the consolation draw where she came up just short against Isabella Chhiv of Princeton, 7-5, 6-4, on Sunday.
Sophomore No. 21 Carmen Herea is slated to begin play in the singles main draw on Wednesday.
