Sophomore Carmen Herea moved on with a first-round win in the singles main draw on Wednesday.
Cary, N.C. – Texas Women's Tennis sophomore No. 21 Carme Herea advanced to the singles main draw round of 32 at the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday in Cary, N.C.
Herea picked up a top-50 win by defeating No. 42 Eleana Yu of Duke, 6-3, 6-2, and she will next face highly-touted Stanford freshman Alyssa Ahn, who recently earned a 2025 US Open main draw wild card.
