Women’s Tennis’ Herea reaches semifinals of ITA All-Americans

Sophomore Carmen Herea secured a top-10 win to advance to the singles quarterfinals before moving into the semifinals following a walkover.
Cary, N.C. – Texas Women's Tennis sophomore No. 21 Carme Herea reached the singles semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships on Friday in Cary, N.C.
Herea first secured a top-10 win in a morning match over 6 seed No. 10 Piper Charney of Michigan, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1. She then moved into the semifinals following a walkover by 2 seed No. 3 Reese Brantmeier of North Carolina in her scheduled afternoon match.
Herea will return to the court on Saturday against 3 seed No. 5 Luciana Perry of Ohio State at a time to be determined.
