Minor earns first SEC weekly career honor
AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas sprinter Bayleigh Minor has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Tuesday's award marks the first career weekly honor for Minor.
Minor opened up her collegiate career at the Corky Classic and won the 600-yard race. The Missouri City, Texas native won the race with a time of 1:19.51 in her debut and currently leads the nation in the event. She was one of two Longhorns to dip under 1:20.
The Longhorns travel to Fayetteville, Ark., on Jan. 30-31 for the Razorback Invitational for the first of five meets in Arkansas.
