No. 4 Women's Basketball defeats No. 10 Oklahoma, 78-70

Five players scored in double figures for the Longhorns in the win.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 4 Texas Women's Basketball team forced 21 turnovers against No. 10 Oklahoma as the Longhorns secured a 78-70 win at Moody Center on Sunday.
Sophomore Justice Carlton (6-for-11) and junior Madison Booker (7-for-10) led Texas with 16 points each. This is Booker's 20th consecutive game with double digits, with her total this season being 22 games.
Rori Harmon closed in on the Texas all-time steals record with 343 steals, only three away from breaking the record. She recorded 10 points, three rebounds, and two steals in the win against the Sooners. Freshman Aaliyah Crump registered 12 points, her third consecutive game reaching double figure. Sophomore guard Jordan Lee put up her 18th double digit scoring game with 14 points.
Carlton scored the first points of the game for Texas and helped go on a 6-0 run against the Sooners. The Longhorns ended the opening quarter 19-10 utilizing a 7-0 run, with Carlton contributing five in that span. In the second quarter Texas forced Oklahoma into six turnovers and capitalized on a 12-0 run. The Longhorns defense pressured the Sooners to have more turnovers (13) than field goals scored (10) in the first half. Crump led the Longhorns with 10 points, shooting 4-5, helping Texas going into halftime up 40-24.
To start the second half Texas forced Oklahoma into an offensive foul and went 6-of-8 in field goals in the last four minutes of the quarter. They ended the third period with a lead of 60-47, led by Booker, who added six points and ended the second half with ten points.
Oklahoma scored the first four points of the fourth quarter, but Kyla Oldacre made a strong move and converted a layup to help ignite a Texas scoring run.
Harmon's lock down defense caused Oklahoma's second offensive foul in the final quarter. The Longhorns continued and went on a 9-0 run, holding the Sooners to no field goals for the final 3:30 of the game.
Up next the Longhorns will host No. 6 LSU on Feb. 25 at 8:00 p.m. CT at Moody Center. That game will be televised on ESPN.
