Football has seven earn invites to 2026 NFL Combine

Texas’ ranks third in most players invited to combine over the past three years with 32.
AUSTIN, Texas – Seven Texas Football players were invited to the 2026 NFL Combine, the NFL released Wednesday morning. The List of Longhorns invitees include OL DJ Campbell, TE Jack Endries, DB Jaylon Guilbeau, LB Anthony Hill Jr., LB Trey Moore, DB Malik Muhammad and DB Michael Taaffe.
Texas has had 32 former players invited to the NFL Combine over the last three years, ranking third behind Georgia/Michigan (35) and Ohio State (34).
The 2026 NFL Combine will take place in Indianapolis from Feb. 23-March 2. Live coverage of the combine will begin Feb. 26 on NFL Network and NFL+. Executives, coaches, player personnel staffs and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams will be on hand to evaluate more than 300 individuals who are eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft (April 23-24 in Pittsburgh, Pa.).
Campbell started all 12 games at right guard this season, was another integral piece on the offensive line. The Arlington, Texas, native helped pave the way for junior running back Quintrevion Wisner, who ran for a season-high 155 rushing yards on 19 attempts while averaging 8.2 yards per carry in the win over No. 3/3/3 Texas A&M on Nov. 28. Campbell protected sophomore quarterback and Earl Campell Tyler Rose Award semifinalist Arch Manning in all 12 games. A first-year started, Manning completed 227-of-370 passes (61.4 percent) for 2,942 yards and 24 touchdowns. Manning posted three games with at least 300 passing yards and three touchdown passes without an interception – tied for the most such games by any Power Conference quarterback during the regular season.
Guilbeau played in 43 games with 27 starts and contributed defensively with 124 total tackles, including 69 solo stops, one interception and eight tackles for loss. He developed into a consistent contributor in the Longhorns' secondary, posting multiple high-tackle performances, including a career-high nine tackles in during the 2025 season at Mississippi State, while also recording his first career interception in 2025. Guilbeau was also a two-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll (spring 2022, fall 2022).
Hill once again solidified himself as one of the nation's top linebackers after starting in 10 games as a third-year player and being selected as a finalist for the Butkus Award and a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award in 2025. The Denton, Texas, native missed UT's last two games of the regular season after sustaining an injury vs. Georgia on Nov. 15. Despite missing the last two games, Hill finished the season with a team-high three forced fumbles (along with Simmons), while producing 69 tackles (37 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, two interceptions, one pass break-up, five pressures and a fumble recovery. On the road at No. 5/5/5 Georgia, Hill compiled six tackles (three solo), a half tackle for loss and an interception. Against No. 9/11 Vanderbilt on Nov. 1, Hill registered four tackles (three solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack. After his performance against Mississippi State on Oct. 25, Hill was named the Chuck Bednarik Player of the Week, Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week and SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Hill led the Longhorns with career highs of 2.5 sacks and four pressures and matched his career high in tackles for loss with four, to go along with a forced fumble and a double-digit tackle total of 10. In the road win at Kentucky on Oct. 18, Hill led UT in tackles with 12 (eight solo) along with an interception and a quarterback hurry. Hill notched seven tackles (four solo) in Texas' win against No. 6/6 Oklahoma on Oct. 11. Hill was Texas' leading tackler vs. Florida on Oct. 4, notching a career-high 14 tackles with a 21-yard fumble return. In the Longhorns' home opener vs. San Jose State on Sept. 6, Hill registered six tackles (five solo) and a career-high two forced fumbles.
Endries, a tight end from Danville, California, started all 13 games for the Longhorns and recorded 33 receptions for 345 yards and three touchdowns. He has started 38 career games between Texas and Cal, including all 26 career games at Cal. In two seasons with the Golden Bears, he totaled 91 receptions for 1,030 receiving yards and four touchdowns, with his 1,030 yards over that span ranking as the most by any returning Power Four tight end. He earned honorable mention All-ACC honors in 2024 and was named to the 2024 John Mackey Award preseason watch list after collecting Freshman All-America recognition in 2023, including First-Team honors from College Football Network, Second-Team recognition from The Athletic and honorable mention accolades from College Football News.
Moore played two seasons at Texas after transferring to Texas from UTSA in spring 2024. He played 57 career games between Texas and UTSA, including 28 career games at UT. In 12 games this season, Moore produced 35 tackles (22 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, three pass break-ups, six pressures, and one fumble recovery. Moore was a finalist for the Campbell Trophy in 2025.
Muhammad played in 41 games with 29 starts as a defensive back. Muhammad tallied 97 total tackles, including 76 solo stops, and three interceptions during his three-year career on the Forty Acres while earning 2025 All-SEC Coaches' Second Team honors. Muhammad started in 11 games this season, missing the Florida game on Oct. 4 due to injury. The third-year player and DeSoto, Texas, product carded 30 tackles (23 solo), two interceptions, four pass break-ups, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and a quarterback hurry. Muhammad was tabbed the SEC's Defensive Player of the Week after his outing in the win against No. 6/6 Oklahoma on Oct. 11. Muhammad tallied two interceptions along with a tackle for loss and a pass break-up to lead UT to the victory over the Sooners. The interceptions were the second and third of Muhammad's career as he became the first Longhorn to secure multiple interceptions against the Sooners since 2016. Muhammad had another strong showing in the road win at Kentucky on Oct. 18, recording five solo stops, a pass break-up and a sack for a loss of six yards. On the road at No. 5/5/5 Georgia on Nov. 15, Muhammad logged five tackles. In the regular season finale against No. 3/3/3 Texas A&M, Muhammad was responsible for four total stops (three solo).
Taaffe, a former walk-on, started in 10 games for Texas in 2025 and played in 53 career games with 36 starts during his time on the Forty Acres. He finished his career notching 222 total tackles with 119 solo tackles and seven interceptions. Following the 2025 season, the Austin, Texas, native was selected to the AFCA's All-America First Team, the FWAA's All-America Second Team and the AP's All-America Third Team in addition to earning All-SEC Coaches' First Team distinction. Taaffe received All-American recognition for the second-straight season after being named to the AP's All-America Second Team in 2024. The captain of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, Taaffe was also a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy and named to the SEC Community Service team this season. Taaffe was also a semifinalist for the 2025 Jim Thorpe Award and the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award. The former walk-on started in 10 games for Texas in 2025 and played in 53 career games with 36 starts during his time on the Forty Acres. Despite missing two games in his final season due to injury, Taaffe recorded the second-most tackles on the team with 70 (38 solo) in addition to two interceptions, a pass break-up and sack.
