Women’s Basketball’s Booker and Harmon named to Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Late-Season Team

Texas duo on watch list for national player of the year award.
ATLANTA — Two-time First Team All-American and 2025 SEC Player of the Year Madison Booker and three-time All-America honorable mention honoree Rori Harmon have been named to the 2026 Jersey Mike's Naismith Women's College Player of the Year Late-Season Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club and Naismith Awards announced on Tuesday.
Rori Harmon is the Texas career assist leader with 902 assists. She broke a 40-year old record and has now extended that record by 126 assists. Harmon also holds the Texas career steals record with 357, breaking that record which had stood since 1980. In her collegiate career she has 1,530 points, 902 assists, 357 steals and 616 rebounds. Harmon is the first and only player in NCAA Division I women's basketball to reach 1,500 points, 900 assists, 600 rebounds and 350 steals. Harmon ranks second in the country this season in assist to turnover ratio.
Madison Booker, the 2025 SEC Player of the Year, is averaging career-highs in points (18.5), rebounds (6.6) and steals (2.4) this season and is shooting 50 percent from the field for the season. Booker has nine games of 20 or more points this season and 37 for her career. Booker, in her junior season has already climbed to ninth on the Texas career scoring list with 1,730 points. Over the summer Booker earned her fourth gold medal with USA Basketball as Team USA won the 2025 FIBA Women's Americup in Santiago, Chile.
Texas is 70-7 in games Harmon and Booker have both played in their careers at Texas.
