No. 6 Beach Volleyball earns four ranked wins at Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic

Longhorns finished 4-2 in Honolulu.
HONOLULU – No. 6 Texas Beach Volleyball closed the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic on Saturday at Queen's Beach with a win over No. 4 USC, finishing the tournament with a 4-2 record. Including a victory over fourth-ranked USC, the Longhorns collected four ranked wins, also defeating No. 7 Loyola Marymount, No. 9 Cal and No. 16 Hawai'i.
Texas dropped its opening dual on Day 3 against No. 2 Stanford. Ella Keeven and Lily Davis evened the score at 2-2 with a three-set win on Court 4, 21-17, 16-21, 15-9. Stanford secured the victory with a three-set decision on Court 3, 21-13, 29-31, 15-8.
The Longhorns responded with a 3-2 win over USC. Texas earned points from Emma Grace Robertson and Savannah Thomas on Court 3 and Chloe Charles and Davis on Court 4 to take the lead before USC tied the match on Court 2. Brecht Piersma and Katie Hashman clinched the dual on Court 1 with a three-set victory, 21-18, 14-21, 17-15.
Texas returns to Austin to host its Orange-White Scrimmage on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. CT at Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex.
