No. 2 Beach Volleyball’s Piersma, Hashman named AVCA Collegiate Beach All-Americans

Duo earns first All-America honors in program history.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Beach Volleyball's Brecht Piersma and Katie Hashman were named AVCA Collegiate Beach All-Americans, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Thursday.
The honor marks the first All-America recognition in program history.
The duo was also named to the All-MPSF First Team earlier Thursday and earned AVCA Pair of the Week honors Tuesday.
Texas' No. 1 pair posted a 20-7 record this season, including key wins during the Longhorns' run to the MPSF Championship. Piersma and Hashman were also named to the MPSF All-Tournament Team and earned Most Valuable Pair honors.
Texas was named the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship, set for May 1-3 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
