AUSTIN, Texas – Together with Truist, congratulations to May's Hook 'Em's Community Heroes: from Softball, Kaydee Bennett, and from Baseball, Aiden Robbins.
Kaydee is using her platform to advocate for abuse survivors to receive the safety and support they need.
"I believe every individual deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered. This cause is important to me because I have seen the lasting impact that strong support systems, advocacy, and access to resources can have during difficult times. I hope to use my platform as a student-athlete to help promote awareness, encouragement, and organizations that provide hope and healing for individuals and families in need."
Aiden is passionate about children's cancer research and is providing assistance to organizations supporting research.
"I care about children's cancer research because curing childhood cancer has a lasting impact on families. I want to dedicate my life to finding a cure and supporting kids dealing with the disease."
In recognition of their causes, Truist is proud to donate $500 each to organizations that provide support for survivor advocacy and children's cancer research. For more information on Hook 'Em's Community Heroes, together with Truist, visit texaslonghorns.com/TruistCares
