Beach Volleyball signs LeAnn Wise

One of the nation's top junior beach volleyball players will join the Longhorns for the 2026-27 season.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Beach Volleyball head coach Stein Metzger announced the signing of LeAnn Wise on Friday. Wise, one of the nation's top junior beach volleyball players, has reclassified and will join the Longhorns for the 2026-27 season.
A native of Stockdale, Texas, Wise joins Texas after building one of the top junior beach volleyball résumés in the country. She has competed on the national junior circuit and against some of the nation's top open-level players while earning multiple championship finishes.
Wise recently teamed with former Texas standout Katie Hashman in June to place third in the AVP Next Texas Spring Triple Crown Series Finale Women's Open division. Earlier this year, Wise won the AVP America/p1440 Girls 18U Junior Tournament.
During the 2024 season, Wise and partner Thais Treumann captured the AVP Juniors Girls 18U East Coast Championships and AVP Juniors Girls 18U West Coast Championships. Earlier that year, Wise teamed with Ella Olson to win the AVP Junior Girls 16U National Championships.
Wise competes for 210 Beach in San Antonio, where she has developed into one of the nation's top collegiate beach volleyball prospects.
In addition to her success on the beach, Wise has enjoyed a standout indoor volleyball career at Stockdale High School. She helped lead the Brahmas to the program's first UIL state championship in 2024, earning UIL State Tournament Most Valuable Player honors after recording a state championship match record 47 kills. She was also named the San Antonio Express-News Player of the Year, District MVP and TGCA Class 3A All-State.
As a junior in 2025, Wise helped Stockdale return to the UIL State Tournament and earned Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State Second Team and UIL State All-Tournament Team honors.
Texas is coming off an historic season in 2026, capturing its second consecutive conference championship after winning the MPSF title one year after claiming the CCSA crown in 2025. The Longhorns have earned NCAA Championship berths each of the last two seasons and reach the program's first championship semifinal in 2026.
